oh I forgot to say it's 8MB but it's worth it

Good stuff, schroeng. I like this "genre" or style. Guitars remind me a bit of Buffalo Tom, that sort of thing.

First listen notes: I think the "verse" parts are a little *too* thin or understated - they need a second guitar part maybe, even if it's just complimentary chords. The drums are pretty good but could use a slight bit of spice in the same verse parts - occasional splash accent, occasional double time hihat, that sort of thing.

More, please! :)

hey mn,

it's time the f**ker gets online and shows some more his stuff ;)

I don't like the guitar sound yet but he's still working on it... good point about the drum accents though... he played it via midi keyboard btw

I'll tell him to get more stuff online

jack if you're reading this.... get KvRdicted and post some more songs come on ;)

yeah, i'd definitely like to hear more from him. this is really great.

A few thoughts. I quite like it so this is what I reckon is wrong with it!

He sometimes slips into this 'pearl jam' style voice- sets me teeth on edge - mostly in the chorus, he should sing more like in the verse, less yank rokk! Oh and some of it is a bit out of tune too

Volume is all over the place on the singing too, needs either more compression or automation. The loud bits are working against the limiting or whatever on the master, causing the whole of the backing to drop in volume!

Geetar sound is excellent, proper indie! A bit of layering stuff up as the song progresses woildn't go amiss mind. That 2nd verse is about twice the length it needs to be too, started losing interest.

Drums are nice in the verses but I reckon a bigger sound would work in the choruses; same kit but a different bus, more compression and mid cut perhaps?

Yeah, it too bad that Eddie Vedders voice got so played out.

It's like when you hear that vocal style now it just sends an ice pick through your temple.

…..it's not Eddie's fault, though……it the 100's if not 1000's of singers that ripped him off.

Ah well, I agree with d. tugger on pretty much everything he said.

Love it.
The mix could be improved (vocals and guitars need better compression).
The guitar solo gets a bit too much out of control.
The guitar sound towards the end reminds me of the band 'Ultravox'. And the singing also reminds me of Pearl Jam (a band I used to love).
Drums sound very real. How were these done???

Very good music, and an emotional singer. If the mix is improved a little, I would even buy a CD with this music.
I have this song on replay now, for a while.. :-)

well i thank you guys for your comments and suggestions... i agree with most of you.
this song ist quite far away from being ready and i'm working on a few aprovements  well mully pushed me to post this so i gave him permission to post it.
the solo is played really crappy and i will do it again now that man fingers recover from my first tries.
I also agree with donkey : the second verse is to long... i will shorten it up a bit.
well and the drums need more variations... i'm not done with that...
the voice hasn't any compression by now.

and i heard this "ey you sound like pearl jam"stuff quite a few times. well i'll try to sing different :band:
any way i'll do some improvements now and post it again.

later guys
YEAH

Which drum module did you use? Or, which sample bank for the drums?
These drums sound very realistic! :-)

tried to shorten up a bit... now it's under 5 minutes :hihi:
still 6.8 mb... done a headphone mix... it's late here now and i haven't got proper monitoring anyway...

Wonderful. I really like this song. It's very strong.
In the beginning, the voice should be louder.
At 00:35, that one crash cymbal is too loud.
At 00:50, the bass covers everything (just for a moment).
The singing is just great, especially after 02:55
Drums are just perfect. I would even believe it if someone told me this was a real drummer.

Great song. You rock. :-)

Like it a lot, indeed you do rock. Image

I don't have any complaints about the mix. However I don't know what a good mix is.

I can hear just a little of that PJ thing. I wouldn't have noticed it if it weren't pointed out. Whenever my path would cross with PJ, I'd run the other way. So, my experience with PJ is a series of fade outs.

Damn, I'm gettin tired of these sad songs about relationships that are over and can't be fixed even with a sad song.

Having said that, I'd go see ya live. There's an intensity. There's a looseness that doesn't care about labels and contracts. This song makes my head spin in a good way. It's like I can already see the video, and the camera is constantly making circles around the band.

I'm keepin this one.
