Hello again,
Can anyone recommend a freeware or inexpensive vocal pitch corrector like antares auto-tune. Our music usually is composed of spoken word poetry over beats, but at times, we will try a little melody in a chorus or repeated line and I am the second worst singer on the planet earth. I'm don't want to sound like celine or anything, I just want something to correct an off key note here and there. You guys have solved all of my challenges so far, so I have hope that someone will suggest something I can use.
Thanks,
aIm

AKAI PitchRight (I've seen it somewhere for only $30-40 recently), Betabugs Cartoon, Rephrase (but that's different: the Jules/Julie demo in my sig is done with that, based only 1 sample in 1 pitch).

We had a version of CarToon ready for release, and then Cycling '74 released the latest Pluggo runtime and it ceased working. Dunno why they'd change key components on people, but there it is.
It works slightly different, with 2 different modes:
1. Auto - will move an 'off' note to the nearest semitone at the 'speed' rate.
2. MIDI - this is a new way of approaching some tuners' "graphic" modes. Rather than drawing actual lines, you can play or program MIDI notes that correspond with the note you want to force. It can be used for subtle correction OR insanely cool effects.
There is no 'force to key' option (hey, it's a free product!) but you can use MIDI mode for this.

I like the pitch corrector in AA1.5
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
