Oh. hee hee. right, sorry about that. I shouldn't post when I'm in the middle of a deadline project...still, it's $249.99 for the Fultec...boy I wish I had that kinda budget.

just buy the BLT first and upgrade to FullTec later ...it'll save you a cent
but honestly BLT is superb for the money....

well the thing is you need an iLok to demo it... so if you go out and buy an iLok and don't like the demo you're screwed...
well I have an iLok but simply purchased it before trying the demo cuz I had some spare money on my paypal account
I could upload a test file for you to listen...
gimme a minute

Hey yeah, that would rock! I'm thinking of just buying it - but I realize it's a tad foolish, not being able to even demo the damn thing - but it's so cheap for such a (presumably) hi-quality plug.
But a test file would be highly beneficial.

okay well I just slapped a BLT on each track and fiddled a bit...
to compensate for my tired ears I put the original file without any BLT here, too.....

Edit: listening again now... I think I got carried away with the bass setting.... but listen to those sweet highs - will post a decent one when I'm back from poland

Yeah, that's some awesome detail in the highs. Wow. And the bass...sounds like it should be too much - but it's not interfering or anything. I gotta say, this is what I pictured, pretty much. Sounds like it's perfect for coaxing those extra highs and lows out of a track.
Makes me wonder what a Fultec can do for a mix..!

OK, sorry it took me awhile to get back, I left work right after the last post.
Well, that last example was certainly more dramatic. Man, I'm sold; that's just what I'm looking for. It cleaned the hell up outta those acoustics. Very nice.
I also signed up for the Spectralive group buy, so I'll be knee-deep in sweeteners!

If I can ask something else: what exactly is the process with this iLok business? I go to the music store, purchase the USB Key, then you go to ilok.com and register, et voila?
Is the registration locked to one machine, so I'll have to decide if I want to use the plug-in at work or home only? I guess that's the main purpose of it...
