greetings.

i'm thinking of taking my live vocal performance (which, up to now, has been unprocessed, sometimes even un-mic-ed) into zee next realm via gobs of crazed (and not so crazed) laptop-based processing.

i could use reaktor, but in my experience it doesn't do live vocal processing very well: sounds thin and artifact-y. (am i wrong?)

can anyone recommend a program(s) or plug-in(s) that will let me do live vocal processing, all permutations of:

phasing
flanging
chorus
delay
echo
reverb
ring modulation
resonance
filtering
equalization
compression
distortion
and all manner of heinous avant effects

?

Audiomulch has that list covered before it even dips into the VSTs.

Shamann definitely has that right. The modular way in which you link things together makes it the ideal environment for it too. It's only $50 (but Ross, the developer, is super generous with time limited beta versions). I needed support once and had a friendly, comprehensive answer via email within a day from the developer himself. Can't recommend it enough.

Audiomulch is excellent, and just about the most flexible live performance app around. I'd also recommend crusherX-Live (if your budget allows) for both subtle spacialising or all out destructive craziness.
