Yikes. I just had nasty flashbacks to the evil that was Fortran-IV.

Hollerith descriptors. Ick.

gosh i thought it was topic about programming language as well

now, i'm not sure which is scarier

i can't imagine most of kvr is old enough to have used Fortran
(it was Fortran 77 by the time i used it on a Honeywell GCOS system at my first real programming job)
-- unless a few kvr'ers are involved with array processors and supercomputers
which again is a scary thought

Oh my god, how many years have passed since I last heard of them! I remember when I started buying records, back in the early early 90's, that a friend of mine and I found a record shop here in my city (Valencia, Spain) where I don't know why there was a shelf stuffed with new (not second-hand) records of Nitzer Ebb for 100 pesetas (less than a dollar/euro) and there were also 2 albums by fortran 5 which we bought just out of curiosity. It's about 12 years I haven't listened to a song by them. this makes me feel old, damn.

Wow...now I feel old :)

There was a track on Blues called "Look to the Future" which, I think, was one of the early tracks that really got me involved in house music. I haven't listened to that album in a long time, but I always remember that track.
