What plugins do you use when you master and and in what order are they placed? I know about the all in one packs like Ozone and T-racks but I would like to hear what separate plugins people use and why?
And if money wasn't a problem what would you pick (lets try to keep it software although though theres no harm in writing about your analogue fantasys :P )

SV-517 and the L2 after

No compression for most of the time

Ozone's "And now, boys and girls, we're going to master our own CD" preset.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

1) Param eQ (FL Param eq)
2) C3 multiband compressor
3) Voxengo TubeAmp
4) Voxengo Elephant

This chain works like a charm here.

Any combination of:

Endorphin
Cubase multiband (although it's got the stupidest GUI ever and isn't flexible enough)
TLs Pocket Limiter
TLs Maximiser
BuzMaxi
BBE Sonic Maximizer 462 (hardware)
SIR reverb (occasionally only)
PSP Mixsat
LA Audio 4C (hardware)

Once the group buy finishes, I'll probably steer away from multibands and use a few Kjaerhus GUP-1s in series though.

That's about it for me - I don't use Eqs in my master slots at all.

Most of the time I think my setup will be GUP-1 -> GUP-1 -> Pocket Limiter -> BBE (although the BBE will occasionally come before the compressors) and the LA4C tends to get used more over groups etc than as a master ....that's it...nice and simple but sonically pleasing.

One of these days I think I'll splurge out on a UAD card though...I think I owe myself some of those nice dynamics plugins, and a I'd use Eq more if I had a decent one.

So far mostly Soniformer2 and Classic Limiter.
Here is my small version:

It depends on the content – and the mix :D

My favoured FXs is Elephant, Sonicformer, elemental eq’s, sometimes gliss, and other FX depending on the quality of the mix, may need bouncing down with other stuff before having a go at making it as clear as possible.

UAD PultecPro, Cambridge (only for the HP filters), LA-2A, Fairchild670, Precision Limiter

Voxengo GlissEQ, Soniformer, AFSuite (don't own that one yet, but becoming addicted to the demo)

Tritone Hydratone (almost always now)

I might use any number of these in any combination and any order, it always depends on what the song needs.

Firium > Neodynium > Vintage Warmer. This works for me.

Audition's native EQ's & Reaktor's Flatblaster.

FinalMix and whatever saturation/warming plug I feel like (Dominion, sometimes even RubyTube). It'll be Ozone once I can afford it. I strenuously resist the urge to use Ozone Free for WinAmp with a disk writer output, even though there seems to be nothing in the license to prohibit it -- 'cause there should be.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

Whatever it is I use, I always make sure that Hydratone is in the Master buss and I dial the Fire knob up to at least 5.

EQ - GEQ-7 or native EQs in Sound Forge (I don't EQ often in the final stage)
Compressor - GCO-1
Limiter/Maximizer - Wavehammmer in Sound Forge

Money really isn't that big of a problem, and I'd still prefer to use these.
