I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to create a simple psy trance helicopter bass line ? I've done much searching on here as suggested in most "psy trance" threads but can't seem to find anything. You see I've got a good use for it in DnB but have no idea about creating my own psy loops, so be as patronizing as you like

im still learning synthesis but ill try to help as best as i can.
to get the helicopter effect you have to use an osc as your source and a lfo as your destination. try using a square wave for the osc if it doesnt work then try a saw wave. try using a triangle for the lfo wave. if it doesnt sound right try saw then square. i dont listen to psy trance all that often but i have heard helicopter patches by other sound designers and the way i decribed the designing of the patch is how they sound.

Use a good bass synth, write a 1/16 note pattern with a sharp attack short sustain and no decay or release. Saw wave osc works well and lp filter and just tweak apropriatly. Not as simple as it sounds though. Eq and compression goes a long way

I dont know what helicopter bassline means, but I started to make some sort of psybass after reading your post and made this. Bassline is made with reFX Beast. Effects are KarmaFX Filter and Super CamelPhat2.
I added some other synths and I hope it sounds like psy.

I have been listening this with headphones only.

I thought the whole point of Psy Trance was that it was more alt/inventive/variable than other forms, as in please don't copy that bass & make your own????
