Usuable lick library - not just loops, please

Something that I am yearning for is a VST with a broad selection of usuable licks (not instument loops or drum loops) that compare to 2 licks I have found in Hypersonic.
Yes, there are a lot of lick selections out there.
Let me descibe the 2 licks I'm talking of.
1 is a Xylophone lick and the lick plays in a pitch according to the key pressed on the keyboad. There is a similar e-guitar lick in Hypersonic.
I am looking for for a VSTI with a broad selection of licks like this, using many different sounds / instruments .
OK, we got LIS (Liquid Instrument Series) like Liquid Sax coming up, which is 100% darn cool and of much better quality than these 2 Hypersonic licks. But it is just one instrument and I'd like to have a seclection of many different sound-licks.
Is anybody aware of such a collection? Ideal would be if it's fast to use, like GA or VG, to not interrupt the creative flow.
I believe sich a VSTI lick collection doesn't exist yet - unfortunately. But I bet it would sell like hell...
VLP120 from Ueberschall comes close, but is very limited in term of tempo and changing the key, at least in my eyes .
Correct me if I'm wrong and suggest a lick lib to look at. If it was a Halion library doing just what I'm talking about, that would be fine.
Dave, wouldn't that be a cool product for your company?

Would need to do s.th. like this press C and get a lick fitting to C, same with D, E, F and so forth.

Well, I'll be going with the group buy at www.esoundz.com of SS2, ST2, Amplitube & 1 Expantion Tank for now and I'll see if that satisfies my need. I assume there's gonna be some licks as well, but who cares - if you can get all this for $309!!!!

I might be misunderstanding what you're asking for, but it sounds like you want an arpeggiator. Or a Korg Karma.telebunke wrote:Something that I am yearning for is a VST with a broad selection of usuable licks (not instument loops or drum loops) that compare to 2 licks I have found in Hypersonic.

actually, you got it quite right. The function I was describing is very close to that. But I was more thinking of audio licks, that would easyly fit to any chord progression, like it will be possible with Liquid Sax from Ueberschall and like the 2 patches of Hypersonic that I mentioned.sangha wrote:I might be misunderstanding what you're asking for, but it sounds like you want an arpeggiator. So basically you're looking for an arpeggiator, but instead of generating MIDI, you want samples coming out. Korg has a software version of the Karma engine, which I think might be suitable for you if you have the arpeggios sent out to a sampler instead of a synth.telebunke wrote:actually, you got it quite right. If I understand how Karma's GM's work, it will transpose your arpeggios into the key that play on the keyboard, but you should check it out because I'm not certain if that is how Karma's GMS work.
