Here are two mono waves from the sixth string of an acoustic guitar – both recorded at the exact same time, different mics and slightly different placements (both condenser though) recorded then stepped down with RBPro from vox, to 24 Bit (they were recorded at 44.1 – so the sample rate remains the same)
Spe3d_AcuGuit6EM.wav 2MB
Spe3d_AcuGuit6ET.wav 1.5MB
EDIT: the two samples now in a Zip file
http://spe3d.com/audio/Spe3d_GuitarSampleTest.zip 2.9MB
Is the quality of these waves good – or bad? Out of the two can you tell a difference? If so which of the two do you prefer.
Its two test samples (the lowest level recorded ones, stepped up to 40%) from an acoustic guitar library – done by me
Best regards,

Hello, the "EM" wave is a much cleaner sample. I'm listening on headphones, and the "ET" sample has a distinct oscillating noise in the background. I can kind of hear this in the "EM" wave, but it is not nearly as noticeable.

Yes I hear this too, in the EM sample it's audible too, but later, only after 6 seconds.Rouqmirg wrote:Hello, the "EM" wave is a much cleaner sample. The processed ET is much cleaner, even cleaner than the EM I think, but also louder

A mix of both (panned L and R) would be cool. The samples sound nice. What mics/pre-amps did you use?Spe3D wrote: Is the quality of these waves good – or bad? Out of the two can you tell a difference? If so which of the two do you prefer.

Poepe you do need to unzip, plus these are 24-bit, you might be having the issue with not being able to play 24-bit wavespoepe wrote:I can´t get the samples played, strange, too early in the morning or someone has an other idea ?
