Newb question of the year, I know... Did a search but couldn't find much.

Is there a moderately priced multi effect suite that has compatibility for both Mac and PC?

Most of the ones in the database are either PC or Mac only. Is there something missing there or is that just how it is? The ones that do work on both are well outside the range I would consider 'moderate.' Unfortunately, great companies like Voxengo or db are only PC.

WaveArts is cross platform and moderately priced and are nice plugs, but I'm not sure about cross-licensing though.Anyway, here's the link http://www.wavearts.com/

Hi Joseph,

We've just released a cross platform multi-effects bundle. It excels at doing non-standard effects as well as bread and butter stuff. However, they are capable of doing more conventional stuff too.

Thanks
Ben

Waves Native Power Pack is moderately priced and is cross-platform--and excellent, I might add.

Comes to about $50/plugin--about the same as the Voxengo effects.

L1 Ultramaximizer
SuperTap 2-tap
Q10 Paragraphic Equalizer
C1 Parametric Compander
S1 Stereo Imager
De-Esser

For non-standards plugs, check the ohmforce experience and and quad frohmage. Also, reaktor has countless effects. For more standards effects, i like wavearts, which are also very cpu efficient (important on a mac if you don't use a G5) and affordable, in contrast to waves. Another things is Urs Heckmans filterscape, which is complex enough to be considered a multieffect in itself, coming soon on pc too.

TC Native Bundle (no longer supported by TC - but still available for around $199) is cross platform bread & butter.

My hardware multi-effects box is cross-platform (connects to anything analog w/ line levels) but was not friendly priced if I compare it to what VST's cost nowaday.
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.

Yes, a single user can run our plug-ins on their PC and Mac if they have both, a license is good for up to three machines if they are all used by that one user.
