-a great ingenieer/ masterer for a house track?
-a good producer for latin/pop songs?

LA was the place to record at one time I think. Try doing a google search????

Read the inlay of a CD of your favourite LA-produced projects / groups. Maybe it says who was the engineer or producer!?

No, i was asking from your experience ( the peolpe you met, you worked with...) who was good and interesting working with, to get an interesting sound...with an affordable budget!!
