Not exactly an Exciter, but very similar:
BBE Sonic Maximizer.
You'll never regret.

BBE Sonic Maximizer. A use a little bit of it, just enough to more "feel" than actually hear the difference. Very easily to overdo and ruin everything.

So you're reccomending him just about every exciter ever made?

I hate it when people do that.

Huh...I thought BBE is an exciter! That's a good plug-in, for sure. I like the new red interface!

My vote goes for Spectralive Crysonic, or the URS BLT (which is not an exciter...hee hee). The BLT is designed for tweaking highs/lows with smooth response. Multree was kind enough to post before/after examples in an earlier thread I was in:

Another vote for BBE Sonic Maximizer, but use it sparingly as has been mentioned. A truly great plug.

The question was quite open. No platform, no specific instruments, etc. etc. And maybe, just maybe, an exciter is not the solution to *his* problem. Too many people mixing at 16bit think they need an exciter, while mixing at 24bit will preserve the natural brightness of a track or mix :D
He never said anything about 16 bit or any problem. I also bet that he knows of the search function.

Also, I mix at 16 bit.
