I came across this utility - Sounfont Catalog - which scans through a bunch of soundfont files, extracts information, and creates a database. Unfortunately, this utility is for MAC only, and I'm on a PC.
Anybody know of a similar utility for PC?

I'm looking around for something like this myself. Currently I'm trying to get a better overview by good cataloguing on the disc. I found this however - seems even more advanced than the one you mentioned - haven't tried it though...

I use a tool called Sample Catalog. You'll find it here
