What I am suprised at are people who only like classical music.
Now this is a bit different to only liking music which is not "classical" as people more or less grow up in a pop culture.
How lonely must it be to have never experienced the culture that you have grown up in - always an outsider to nearly everyone??
My old english teacher did not like music that had to be amplified, which we found strange, and a little racist to be honest.
"ooh, have you heard the new record by Mozart?" "Yeah, it came out 150 years ago"
sheesh...

My mother would be a good example. I was on visit there last night and it turned out she doesn't know who Bob Marley is!
As for the question: i once had a girlfriend who didn't like music. And maybe this is extreme, but it caused our break-up because i got so frustrated she could never be enthousiastic about good music... Ah well, she should have known better

My dad. The only music he ever listened to and enjoyed was the song "Edelweiss" from "The Sound of Music"androidlove wrote:Ever met anyone that just doesn't like music?

though I'm wondering how many of them cant hear pitch or tone 'correctly'.. or just something a part of music that we can..
