Hi KvRists,
Which programs, effects, hosts have vibrato capabilities. I know about the Scanner Vibrato in Logic. Any others? I just saw a band where the guitar player used an old Boss vibrato and it got me thinking of software emulations, etc.
Thanks,
Geoff

well, in FL studio there are ways to create vibrato easily, but not a specific plug, per say. NDC PLugs has a couple of FX (free) that do the job very well, such as The Modulator.

anything that uses allpass filters in series or an interpolated
digital delay should be capable of vibrato if given nonlinear
modulation input. take a modulated delay, flanger/chorus, set
the speed to about 5.5hz, delay 24ms, sine wave. (hopefully,
remember you get the integrated responce of the modulation, and
n integrated sine is cosine*n.) then adjust modulation to taste.
24ms or 0->48 should be enough for most vibrato.

You can try our free chorus plug-in, setting the dry parameter to 0. There is a preset that shows that capability. You can even get a stereo vibrato effect this way.
It's available on http://software.bluecatonline.org (it's Windows VST or DX software)

Simple & free:
vibrator.
There's also JS Vibrato which is coarser & adds (unintentional, I think) distortion, but sounds cool sometimes & lets you freeze the buffer.

nomad factory has the free bundle, which has a great tremolo.
