The topics do not exist anymore, so there is no link to the samples...

Does anyone know where they all are?

Thanks

Spe3d is in a strop as he does not know what to do next with the sample aspects - I think give him a day to work it out - he is going for a walk.

Doing one myself as soon as the rain stops too (damn north european summers...).
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

I'm having trouble with some of the soundfonts, namely the Harmonica, Recorder and Chanter. They seem distorted/overdriven. I'm not sure what causes this, importing and re-exporting the SF2 wouldn't fix it either.

There's no distortion in the chanter. You might want to check your end of the signal chain. Try checking your cables or try checking the outgoing volume of your soundcard for clipping (digital distortion sounds pretty nasty).

  here too in the morning, now the sun shines über Hamburg :-)).

But hey, I heard a north-german peasant moaning loud that in April we had only 10% of the rain "normal Aprils" have... and if you shiver in July, let's change our flats - I live in the 6th floor not UNDER the attic, BESIDE the attic :hihi: ...in 2003 we were nearly killed here, 31° at midnight inside...no sleep...(aber wir müßten dann auch alles equipment tauschen, ich hab immer noch die Mist-Soundkarte von Creative, vielleicht informierst Du mich mal über Sonderpreise für ne gute :D )

cheers Spe3d!

Thanks guys – me making big decisions can lead to over complication, and this then leads to making a mess of the original idea, then I get frustrated with having too many options that seem equal in appeal – untimely leading to needing to take a few steps back and re-think it out with some fresh clarity.

Ultimate decision has now been reached I am happy to say – it’s a dead simple plan

Future sample sets by me will be available at AudioShots.Com with access without the need to log in – donation buttons will be displayed in the pages.

SoundFonts by me will be available in the SoundFont section of the Auditorium – as with all ‘fonts’ you must now remember to log in to access them (its only for those sections)

This is nice and manageable plus gives an opportunity to get something monetary back to help further the samplering interest – plus possibly pay for the hosting of the samples.

It should keep everyone happy imo – and it’s the free reign on samplering that interests me – it means I can post absolutely any of my future creations without the need to over polish the presentations for each sample set – in other words rather than making massive over sized projects, with help manuals etc, I can keep them simple – it’s the sound that counts in the end – right? :D

Peter

I have run a very small marketing exercise regarding downloads vs feedback vs donations at http://audioshots.com the feedback on the guitar fonts was excellent – the next guitar font I do will be free to all those that had given feedback in that thread – cool huh? :D

But for sure the donation idea is scrapped  also downloads far exceed feedback - so now I am very sure the best way to go with presenting sounds on the internet (especially the big stuff that takes a lot of bandwidth and time to construct) ;)
