FL Studio VS Prodigious Pixels -Unresolved!

Okay when the heck is FL Studio going to incorporate scrollable windows to house VSTs? I mean, with stuff like Moog Modular V or Motion 2.8 not being able to place the VST interface in a scrollable window really puts a damper on the experience. VSTs such as those don't even begin to fit on the screen's real estate... so why no scroll?! Not everybody's resolution is running at 1280x1024.
(Not to knock FL I LOVE FL, but this is a quibble that should of been solved by now IMHO. Hopefully I'm just missing something blatantly obvious in the options...)

Fl crackles to much when moving or scrolling through windows. a vst in a scrollable window would just cause the audio to crackle when youre scrolling. dont know how your FL holds up, but as far as i hear, no one is able to freely move around instruments while the music is playing. I cant even scroll through my browser without interrupting playback.

This is why I changed to Sonar. I use FLS as a DXi.

Wow you should really check your buffer settings. I mean, even on my old P2 450Mhz with a SB Live! card, I never had that problem. Now, with my P4 2.4Ghz system and an ASIO card, it certainly never happens. I can slide and glide all over FL through the browser, not to mention whirl VSTs around the screen while in the midst of song playing with zero crackle. I don't think "crackling sound" is the excuse here.mmenta1 wrote:Fl crackles to much when moving or scrolling through windows. a vst in a scrollable window would just cause the audio to crackle when youre scrolling. dont know how your FL holds up, but as far as i hear, no one is able to freely move around instruments while the music is playing. Oh hey -- that's not a FLS problem -- you need to check your audio buffer and video memory. Bad rumour! Bad rumour! Whatever -- I have never had such a problem and move various windows around all the time without any static or crackle. You need to check your configuration... ;mmenta1 wrote:Fl crackles to much when moving or scrolling through windows. a vst in a scrollable window would just cause the audio to crackle when youre scrolling. dont know how your FL holds up, but as far as i hear, no one is able to freely move around instruments while the music is playing. Let's not get off topic though:
WHEN WILL FL ALLOW YOU TO HOUSE VST GUIS IN A SCROLLABLE WINDOW-BOX THINGY?

Can you say whether you are using a true VSTi generator or a DXi wrapped in the VSTi window? I ask this because the only time I ever experienced a problem like your talking about was when I used FXpansion's DXi to VSTi converter and then I couldn't get the instrument to fit in the window...JackDark wrote:Let's not get off topic though:

I do experience that with Motion synth. I can't see the bottom part of the synth actually.

I'm talking about using true-VSTs inside of FL Studio as a standalone-host. No wrapping, no DXis, nothing like that. Maybe I'll post a screenshot to show what I'm talking about (when I get to the studio anyway...).

Yeah. What VSTi is it? Did you try the Looptalk forum? Yet?JackDark wrote:I'm talking about using true-VSTs inside of FL Studio as a standalone-host. No wrapping, no DXis, nothing like that. Maybe I'll post a screenshot to show what I'm talking about (when I get to the studio anyway...).

hey thats news to me. I heard many people say they had that problem so I thought it was normal. I grew accustomed to the crackle. AUDIO BUFFER and VIDEO MEMORY... Are these changes made within the FL options? Help me out here... Please...xander wrote:Oh hey -- that's not a FLS problem -- you need to check your audio buffer and video memory. Bad rumour! No, my copy of FL is legit. I just wanted to talk to folks about it here because (A) I like KVR better, (B) I know Didier browses these forums from time to timce, (C) plenty of experience here ... workarounds a possibility perhaps...

but maybe they are just fed up with looptalkskOre wrote:ppl not doing the loop talk are often accused of warez copies!
cause questions are too often not answered or
the developers say - "it's not our fault it's developer of the plugin ...."

And - sadly - they often jump the gun when they do the accusing. More than once someone has said "I *did* go to LoopTalk" etc after the fact.skOre wrote:ppl not doing the loop talk are often accused of warez copies!
And yes, sometimes LoopTalk is unhelpful.
