Voxengo LF-Punch PC VST plug-in is an FX processor for music and sounds where low-frequency thump and punch are most welcome, and where distortion is applied specifically to bring the bass kicks to life.

LF-Punch is a pretty specific FX not suitable for everything, but we felt like there is a lack of such effects specially designed for serious contemporary music producers.

In the essence, LF-Punch is able to give you the elements of low-frequency FX usually associated with tape machines thus giving you a convenient tool to apply smooth punch to your tracks and sounds whenever you need it.

LF-Punch plug-in dynamically emphasizes selected center bass frequency, performs adjustable amount of phase-shifting and then applies smooth distortion. Optional compression can then be applied to the resulting sound. Note that LF-Punch first splits the broad-band signal into low- and high-frequency bands and applies FX to the lower band only.

This FX can be used with a wide range of program material: various drum tracks, bass tracks, contemporary music mixes: rap, trance, club music; even rock music can benefit from LF-Punch's low frequency adjustments.

Voxengo LF-Punch features:

* FX center frequency control
* Phase-shifting module
* Variable distortion
* Built-in compressor
* FX monitoring switch
* Two processing modes
* "A-to-B" comparisons
* Mono-to-Stereo, Stereo-to-Stereo processing
* All sample rates supported
* Native assembler DSP code

Voxengo LF-Punch is currently available for the introductory price of US$39.95. For more information and demo downloads please visit the Voxengo web site: http://www.voxengo.com

I'm thinking this might just be effect to really give me a clean, punchy house bass. :)

Is there a GB planned for the near future?
(The intro price is very reasonable though)

I love you're plugs, Aleksey and you are bringing something awesome to the native market but for the love of god man, get a new gui designer. Those are some of the most ugly, un-inspirational and pretty depressing guis I have ever used. Ya ya ill get flamed to shit, they get the job done, looks dont matter its the quality and sound blah etc usual shite. Im sure the many of you agree if your brutally honest. A frontend that is esthetically pleasing is much more fun to use and makes production a whole lot more enjoyable, which all adds to the synaesthesia experience ;)

I think they're beautiful and very functional...

I loooove the colours of the buttons.

cptgone, I've decided not to go GB route because I do not really see a great interest in this plug-in.

Aleksey: I'm about to try the demo, but have you designed this plugin so that it affects audio in a way that would not be possible with the use of multiple third party plugins (ie distortion, compression, phase)?

What I'm trying to ask is, could we do the same thing by using a string of insert VST plugins, or is there some kind of secret magic coding behind this plug? :)

EDIT: i realise that such a string of plugins would be monstrous to achieve the same effect, so LFpunch makes it much easier ;)

I'm not Aleksey, nor do I play him on TV...

You could certainly come up with a chain of plugs to approximate (but probably not duplicate) the effect of LF Punch. But like you said, it would be a kludge & would also be demanding of your cpu resources. If you have the time to spare to experiment chaining stuff together & you have cpu headroom to burn, then I say go for it.

Otherwise, I think $40 is well worth the savings in time and effort.

FWIW, I think it's the best plug I've ever used for LF enhancement/manipulation

Ya know, we young kids would like to have everything fancy and high tech in our virtual studio :) :) :) :) :)
