Sidechaining reason drums with cubase instruments....

I primarily use reason for all my drum tracks, but cubase for the synths but I've found that the current method of sidechaining whereby you create a quadro group won't work on reason channels. Does anyone know of a work around for this problem? Or am I missing something...
