Disable the shadows, transition effects, etc. in display properties>appearance>effects.

Might help?

Do you mean in Windows? This'll have nothing to do with my dilemma. VSTs that are larger than the screen FL Studio uses, that's my dilemma. There needs to be a scrollable window, like there is in the playlist, sequencer, browser, etc... all of those have scrollable windows in FL, just because they are proprietary to FL? I mean, how much harder would it be to implement this feature to house VSTs within FL as a host? Not much harder I would imagine. With so many esoteric and amazing functions it's just hard to believe this has been overlooked for so long.

I suppose you probably know about this, but
options->general settings-->check "don't limit windows to screen". This way, the whole screen scrolls, but I agree: If the pane a vst is in would retain it's position but the contents would scroll, it would make things much easier.
..what goes around comes around..

Didn't know this.

You might have just saved the day... I knew there had to be an answer to this insanity. ;)

Thanks! :)

I cant even scroll through my browser without interrupting playback.
Wow you should really check your buffer settings. I mean, even on my old P2 450Mhz with a SB Live! card, I never had that problem. Now, with my P4 2.4Ghz system and an ASIO card, it certainly never happens. I can slide and glide all over FL through the browser, not to mention whirl VSTs around the screen while in the midst of song playing with zero crackle. I don't think "crackling sound" is the excuse here.
So, can anyone help me out here? what priority settings do I have to make in order to get my FLStudio to stop crackling everytime i move around a window or use the browser. I thought it was normal, but I guess not. I have a P4 3.0GHZ 2GBram so it doesnt really sound normal to be doing this right? Thanks for your help. Please let me know. And I have a LEGIT copy of FL which Ive upgraded to XXL since version 3. Im just used to KVR and its the ONLY Forum I could access from my job!

Are you using ASIO drivers on your soundcard?

yes I either use my GUITARPORT ASIO Driver or my EMU 0404 DRIVER. I normally have latency set to 256 samples (5ms) or (8ms). Even if I increase it, Ill still get the problem. Which other priority settings/tests are to be made? Thanks for the response.

You could try this driver:

YES IT SHOULD.

"DON'T LIMIT WINDOWS TO SCREEN" DOES NOT FIX THIS PROBLEM. :help:

That function is intended for people with multiple monitors (i.e. it slides the window to the "next" screen).

So my original question remains:

When will FL Studio allow VSTs to be housed in a scrollable window?!
