Ok, no, I'm not pissed, but. I just saw on M-Audios website a control surface specifically designed for Garage band! WTH! I wish they made one specifically for FL Studio too.

I can understand how SX, Logic, Nuendo can share control surfaces. But one specifically made for GARAGE BAND!!!! WTH!!!

I hope M-Audio can feel my jealousy all the way from where I'm writing this post, about 18 hours away and 1500 miles. The Jealousy emanating from me to them. BASTARDS! Ohh and by the way, I love your products, I'm just jealous.

There was a discussion in the Acid forum on this little gem awhile back. I think I can top your jealousy though in light of that discussion. Acid "Pro" doesn't even support external hardware control surfaces. Hmmmmm...Garage band, which is a FREE app has a dedicated controler made for it, as well as being able to support external hardware controlers, yet the app with the word "Pro" tagged onto it's name has nothing. I'm still trying to figure out the bizarre development decisions as far as features that get chosen for the Sony apps. Acid "Pro" 5.0 what do we need to develop? Multi-track recording capabilities? Input monitoring? Punch-in recording capabilities? Enhanced midi sequencing? Hardware controler support? Enhanced audio editing capabilities? Realtime automation recording? Nahhhhhhhh!!!! Let's work on developing a media manager, that's more what the professional user needs. Everybody else already has those other features, why would we ever need them? Users are gonna need a media manager more than anything else, with all that media they're creating with all those other apps, someone needs to manage it. Brilliant!!! :-o
Still in search of sonic nirvana....

Ok I could be WWWAAAYYY off here but aint nearly everything in FL assignable???

If that was the case all you need would be to set-up your own template and print yourself out a new decal - no???

I think the point is that the iControl controls GB directly, and not through MIDI, so assignment is out of the question. Don't worry though, I bet given 3-4 after it's released, some third party will develop win/OSX/linux MIDI drivers for it. Then it's gravy for everyone!

Aaah! Now I see...

Looks nice too - 3rd party drivers would be

Thanks for the info!

Apple users like those nifty gems. So probably that's what will make it sell.

Actually, it's by far the easiest to do with FL. I've never seen a good template for FL ....maybe that is the reason?

Yeah I mean, I would like something that is already mapped out for you and everything. Just plug and play. Specifically designed for FL. *** Jealous ***

...It sounds like the English have strange notions about what goes into a good beer. I know the color is similar, but come on? It's time to check out the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516, and take some notes. :hihi:
