If I were getting stranded on an island, I would just want a single plugin -- one which would make my computer radiate radio signals at the frequency of 121.5 MHz.

Here's Why...

SORRY IF I COME OFF LOUD but I want to point out that what efeects i use for making and what I use in final mix is diffeerent. AND the list should be redone to refect that what is used in one case does not work in another. PLus what pros use on outside is different when it comes to vocals, guitars, keys drums. etc

Well strictly speaking - the wording of the original question was "to do your recording" and "to pass the time". But I actually dislike the distincion between effects for mixing and mastering. In my book, if it's not good enough for mastering, it's not good enough for mixing. Compromises to save CPU use are of no interest to me - quality is everything, and i'm prepared to bounce if necessary.

True I looked at the origanl question in fine detail and it does say recording, but I still say there is some room for debate on some due to the fact some people record things different than others and if people are going to state which 3 it would also be nice to now WHY they choose thoose 3.
Remember the answer to tyhe meaning of life is "42" , now do you know where that is from, if you do then my answer makes alot more sense. Hint it is currently in the movie theater
