Reason 3 users can look forward to the first 20 volumes being brought to Reason 3 with new Combinator modules. We're releasing two newly redone titles with Propellerheads coming up in a bit. I'll let them break the news on that though.

However, I was working on one of the new titles, volume 22 Vintage Digital. This is really cool. It has some esoteric digital keys on it. Loads of Synclavier FM and additive stuff, Fairlight CMI, 360 systems, RMI Keyboard computer, PPG, OSCar, Prophet VS, Walforf Wave, DX7 and TX802, FS1R, K5000 & K5... this is really different. Early digital keyboards have a certain charm to them that I think some people will really like. They're totally flawed of course. Weird noises in there but that's part of the charm. I think there are some PPG 2.0 samples in there too (I used to have 2 of them out of the 8 that exist in the world... other ones belong to Anne Dudley and Thomas Dolby is all I know of). It was 8 bit and sounds horrible in a really great way if you know what I mean.

Anyway, that one and Volume 21 Surreal Soundscapes are being released in June... perhaps a few others too.

New Expansion Tank titles coming from SR for SampleTank as well. Philharmonik too! Nice month?

Are these all going to be available from the props website eventually? The download option is very convenient and avoids some duty type costs as well.

Ooh! Vintage digital gear! It's something that there's not much of as well. There's a lot of focus on old analogue sounds, and "new" digital sounds... but a vintage digital Refill/ExpansionTank sounds like it'll be really cool! Mmmm crunchy goodness...
