hi all, I'm new around here. :P

recently I found myselves dealing with an annoying problem. I work with cubase sx and as usual when i'm producing a sound on a midi channal I'm immidiatly converting it into a sound on the audio channel in order to add some effects to the sound...
but now when i'm trying to record the sound from a midi channal to an audio one it seems like it is going well but when I solo the audio channal, to hear the sound I've recorded I don't hear anything, and the wave image on the channel is empty (just the line).

I thought that the problem is in the sound card but it works well...

thx, ES007.

oh... another thing, when I play sound with the vst inst. I can see the red bars in the input indicator on the transport panel but when I'm playing the project i cant see any bars in the output indicator on the transport panel... maybe it is related to the problem....

solo the midi track;
put the locators to the left and right of the part you want to record in audio;
go to file-audio mixdown and choose a filename and format for the audio file and check "import to:" "pool" and "audiotrack";
hit ok, wait, hit ok;
you're done ;)

u didn't understand what I've ment...
I am not trying to export a midi sound to audio file. I'm trying to convert a specific sound in a midi channal to the same sound but in an audio channal in order to add some effects (u can add effects only on a sound recorded on the audio channal) to the sound...

any suggestions?

:uhuhuh:
you have your instrument channel (or multichannel, depends on the case) in your vst mixer. Just play some notes and check your mixer and you'll find it. There you can do everything like you do with any audio channel. They are coloured in a sort of open green. Good luck.
