Assuming you have GAC as well, you can always use the GUP embedded in GAC for SCgreendoor wrote:So if GUP-1 isn't a side-chain add on (or wet/dry addon for that matter), how else can GCO-1 owners get side-chain or wet/dry? That's the whole problem. (Am I the only CGO-1 owner who is pissed off about this?) I appreciate that hosts have changed. Why can you not simply upgrade GCO-1 with side-chain and wet/dry. I would have been happy to pay for this. As it is - I'll wait until such time as I desperately need these features, and maybe get the demo then or see what else is on the market.

Crunchessor is full of hearty, crunchy goodness, with just a kiss of honey. Goes great with fresh milk, grapefruit juice, and a bran muffin.

I have GAC and GCO and like having both.
GCO is a track manager that doesn't squash the life out of dynamics.
While GAC is a track magician that does things to the material.
Just the other night I had a wind-sounding track that sounded farty thin in the mix, but still needed to be prominent..
One GAC-second later and the bugger was thick as a brick.
Very useful is a GAC

I already have a GUP, which I feel will be rednadant if and when I guy a GAC. Full out, GAC has more latency, but may have much less with only one compressor active.kevvvvv wrote:I have GAC and GCO and like having both.

GCO, though, purely as a single compressor, has much more versatility.
Kind of kicking myself for not waiting to pick up GAC first.

For me, buying GAC was very much a question of ergonomics - having an all-in-one quality solution for basic channel tweaking (and much more!) available in one interface without having to pop up, organize, and close GUI windows all the time is a real benefit. I "guesstimate" that moving to Tracktion from Cubase cut my sequencer-related keyboard-and-mouse-movements by two thirds. GAC takes away another chunk of such unhealthful activities. For each labour-saving solution, I feel more and more in sync with my studio!Frippertronix wrote:I already have a GUP, which I feel will be rednadant if and when I guy a GAC.
