Hey! We got some big guns in here!

Er, I hope you didn't think I was saying, somehow, that editing in Nuendo is destructive; I've been using Nuendo since v1.0 and I'm well aware of how that stuff works.

Sorry, my pride demands I clear that up. :)

You did use the word "destructive" earlier, though :hihi:

Mind you, I often meet users of both SX and Nuendo who think that clips and files have a one to one relationship. And others that don't know - or have forgotten - about the OPH (Offline Process History).

The "clips = files" misunderstanding is easy to make, but limits one's use of SX/Nuendo tremendously. Hey, even the SX programmers have made mistakes with it when, for example, detecting hit-points.

(BTW, the demo of SX3 Unleashed - see sig - has a tutorial about SX's audio objects that should clear this up.)

The OPH is a marvelous idea, but to exploit it fully, it helps to have a good understanding of clips, events and regions. It's great to remove and replace effects that have been applied, but it's so much more one you know about regions and replicating clips. (BTW, one of SX's shortcomings, imo, is that the OPH is not retained when you create a new version of a clip. But that's another thread :D )
