You want a LaCie. 250 gig... I've got 2 of them and they're great. And apparently they use server type HDs. I've had no problems with them... they get a bit hot, but I do leave them on all the time. And they seem pretty solid too. I've taken one of them around with me quite a bit, and apart from losing a rubber foot, its been fine. And I think the price is pretty good too.

Oh and as far as the 'what the pros use' angle goes, since buying my lacies, I've read more than one article where someone is saying something like 'so we bounced the tracks onto the LaCie and took it over to the studio in New York'.
EDIT: you should read the reviews on that site I linked you to... they're written by people who are obviously much better at going on about products than I am. I think.

Ha. Doogle suggested the exact same drive I was gonna say about...I have one of those too, no problems whatsoever.
