Altertone - Zero

This originally started out as a project to show what BONES' GodKILLER III could do bass-wise, but I added a beat to make it go along and liked what it turned into.

Made in FLStudio as a Host and then mastered in Audition.

The Beat is a mixture of processed "Amen" and programmed single shots. The fat kick was originally a 909 kick that I added heavy reverb and compression to in AA.

The FX was made with Sophia, Fruity Granulizer, and numerous MDA plugs. Some of them were originally samples ripped from songs.

The pads are samples that come with FLStudio because I suck at making pads. All I did to them was apply a LP filter with its own ADSR in a fruity sampler channel.

Complete list of plugs used:
-GodKILLER III
-Buzzroom compressors
-Kjaerhus classic reverb and auto filter
-ArcDevIndustries EchoTank
-Fruity Natives
(notice they are all free)

Please enjoy!

EDIT - I forgot to add the poll like i did on my other post today. Do you consider this track Proffesional level (as in top notch)?

Also, comments/advise on the mix would be appriciated.

Thanks,
Chase

Nice tune.
The changeup was a bit extreme. The mix seems good here, but perhaps a little too disco smiley. It does sound very professional, but it could be more so imo. Perhaps cleaning up the mix is all it needs, oh yeah, and a better transition from the first theme to the d'n'b breakdown.

Ya gotta  sophia!!
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

Much better arrange. Levels are good balanced. But in my view is still lacking for some interesting melodic progression. If Iam listenig to some tracks from Stakka&Skynet I can find there good harmonic progressions. Also I like some good rythmic movement not just in drums, but also in melodic or harmonic lines. I consider Stakka&Skynet - Clockwork as top notch dark dnb CD so thats my angle of view. Anyway you have great sound designed tracks.

woohoo drum n bass 8)

ok typing pretty much as I listen... gonna give you some constructive criticism instead of loading praise onto you...

Love the beats dropping in, bit o' classic beat there 8) , like the drum breakups at about 3 mins too...

I'd maybe layer a smoother sine sub bass below that nice raspy bass you have there, to add some real bassy grunt to it...

...persoanlly I'd have a fiddle with eq and try and seperate out the different elements a bit, I think the snare should punch through more, and there seems to my ears to be quite a bit of crowding going on somewhere in the mid upper frequencies (wherever they might be...) - the drums are jsut a bit lost behind the fx and the rides...

...but I know nothing so don't do anything I say  :hihi:

nice track though! just needs an mc going "humananidagagabsbboooooooo boooooooooooooooooo" over it :hihi:
