Hi everyone,
This small soundfount is the result of experiments I made with some Marching band Horn (MBH) samples. It is not a final product. It is released for free and just for fun.
You can use it freely in your music, even commercial projects. But any other use is prohibited and you cannot redistribute it, or the samples it contains, without our authorization.
It's a 4 MB download, get it HERE
We would love to get your comments about it, as they will help shape the direction of its further development. Email us your comments or post them here or on our forum (link in the signature).

You have the same problem I had with fonts sounding too quiet – I got round it by layering and stacking the sounds up. Over all you got some cool sounds in there though they would be cool to have a bigger pitch variation.
It’s a fun font and works well with external FX.
Best regards,
Peter

Thanks for the comments,
Glad you like it. At first it seemed to me too that the level was a bit low. I just compared quickly with 2 commercial soundfonts and the difference isn't much. But I will look further into this.

Not bad (only checked in Kontakt 2), but I've been missing loop points on the "Regal" patch.

Regal is certainly a good candidate for loop points.

I added some looppoints... quite a task. Seems as if the samples would need some destructive mangling to loop properly.

The combination of a little "strange" on the "Swell fun" sound great.

Looping melodic material is never an easy job and usually needs "adjusting" the samples. I have not tried it yet with the Regal samples.Sascha Franck wrote:I added some looppoints... quite a task. Seems as if the samples would need some destructive mangling to loop properly.
