Of course no one here in the US pays any attention to Eurovision, but if they did, the Hip-Hop world would surely look around at each other and say, "Um . . . there are Ukrainians doing Hip-Hop. Time to start doing something else, 'cos this shit's getting OLD!"

The only way I heard about the Ukrainian entry was listening to Public Radio, where they did a piece on that song and how it got politically inserted into the Eurovision competition. What a dog of a song. It should really sound a death nell of the whole hip-hop genre. Time for something else, y'all.Hovmod wrote:That wouldn't be a moment too soon...emdot_ambient wrote: "Um . . . there are Ukrainians doing Hip-Hop. You lot love it! Don't give me that, "Isn't Eurovision so silly", nonsense. Gossip! Gossip! Gossip! All the Eurovision lovers at KVR at coming out of the closet (although I will concede that even the dreadful Eurovision is a highlight of TV in most of Europe on a Saturday night.) Well you might as well visit here to feed your addiction.

The feta might be somewhat genuine, the milk isn't, as there's not enough cows an sheep.akisd28 wrote: Lots of the feta that the rest of Europe eats comes either from Denmark, Germany etc. In Greece, it's genuine Greek feta that they eat. So there's big fat vans driving with "cheese raw mass" (no idea what it's called in english) from DK to GR every day.

Hmmm... I thought the milk production in Greece had increased up to the point they could cover their own needs, at least that's what they used to tell us. Who knows what the truth is...

We deserved to be last. The german contender Gracia was so terrible that I felt ashamed.
But hey, it could have been worse. We got 4 points! Two from Monaco (they probably thought that Gracia was related to their Gracia Patricia) and another two from Moldawia (both countries begin with "Mo". Is there a connection?).

Its the other way round.
What do you think the Boston Tea Party was about??
It was in protest of the tactical voting that had taken place in that year's eurovision.

When I woke up this morning I looked at the label on the feta cheese in my refrigerator. It comes from the state of Wisconsin here in the US. A 8oz (227g) block of traditional feta sells for $2.98 USD (2.37375 EUR).akisd28 wrote:Not that I'm proud of itYossarian wrote:Luckily we had a second entry (Helena Paparizou singing for Greece is from Sweden) so I guess we did OK.![]()
