Blue Cat's Stereo and Widening Parametr'EQ have been released:
Both are special versions of Parametr'EQ (common features available here).
Both are 7 bands stereo parametric equalizers with instant preview of the overall frequency response.
-Stereo parametr'EQ lets you manage left and right equalizers separately.
-Widening Parametr'EQ is an advanced Mid/Side Parametric equalizer with virtual center positioning, which lets you control the exact position of your frequencies in the stereo field: the ultimate real-time multi-band stereo widener!

As usual smooth update mechanism will protect your ears when manipulating the sliders, and DIrectX and VST automation are fully supported.

Download Demo and buy it on http://software.bluecatonline.org

up...!

Hm, IMO your plugins should have some more decent GUIs.
Don't get me wrong, they may be powerhorses regarding the functionality, but the design with the shiny glaring colours look very cheap...

cheers,
Chris

you prefer old style ugly grey stuff?? It seems we have some customers who like having some color... That's a matter of taste...
(my up was done just because it was not caught by the news)

Maybe we could launch a GUI thread to ask people's taste!

I concur...

Post

Oh, you got me wrong it seems! I'm not against the presence of colours at all, but they are just far too shiny and saturated for my taste. That's what makes the GUIs look cheap and childish to me.
I'd rather go for pastel colours and/or shades of gray. That looks way more appealing IMO.

I agree, maybe a poll would be a good idea here...

cheers,
Chris

Please give an example of what you consider 'non-cheap' GUI...
(BTW most audio hardware for musicians have quite a bunch of 'shiny colors')

Ok, something like this for exmple...
or this here...

Maybe I'm too old-fashioned in my tastes, but I'd expect a more sophisticated plugin "behind" such GUIs.

cheers,
Chris

Demos are supposed to be here to let your hears decide for it...

Post

Sorry, I just wanted to give you a small hint what still could be improved on your plugins from my point of view to make them a bit more attractive.
No offense intended...

cheers,
Chris

Post

Didn't take it as an offense... Sorry if my answers sound aggressive (or defensive...). I'll launch a poll and see what the community thinks about such bright colors in GUIs. That might be an interesting debate, you are not the first one to talk about this topic.

Thanks.

Poll is now running...

Tonmann, if the 'classical' approach wins, I'll offer you a license of your choice in our plug-ins (with a brand new GUI design of course!) to thank you for your advise. (if you are interested)

sounds damned good to me, thanks! :)

cheers,
Chris

right now the tendancy of the poll is the same as your opinion... (30 answers only, let's wait a little bit)
But wait for the new GUI to be happy, you don't know what we are capable of :troll:
You'll have to watch it 2 hours a day whatever the colors

WOW..! That's very decent thing to do Bluecat. And I'm in no way connected to Tonmann, just impressed by your generosity.

Can I offer some advice too..?

Erm...

Don't walk under ladders.

Wear a hat in the rain.

Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables.

Listen to your mum.

Wash behind your ears.

Wear clean underwear.

Finish your homework before going to bed.

Don't pick your nose in the car.

While drinking, remember to swallow.

Don't pee in the swimming pool (the ocean's ok though).

Never forget your wife/girlfriend's birthday.

When visiting India, don't drink the water.

Don't fart at the dinner table.

Don't call your boss a liar.

Eat curry.

Drink beer.

And above all... Keep smiling.

:D
