Well, we all know these things are happening. But then, there's two things that really make me wonder:
- How could you be just dumb enough outing yourself so easily? In a forum that is frequented by programmers and software companies? This is really WAY beyond my understanding.
- I would almost take a bet, that whomever cracked Kontakt would have included the manual... hm, maybe they didn't because of some dubious "cracker ethics". I wouldn't happen to know.

Actually, another thing is making me wonder a bit. Companies are largely switching to electronic manuals, even if a lot of products are "shipping only" items, such as Kontakt or, say, Logic.
I wonder whether this is done intentionally. Logic has allways been sorta badmouthed of being overly complicated (which it defenitely isn't) - part of the reason probably being that it never had an electronic manual, so the crackheads would rather use Cubase, coming with a PDF manual since ages.
In addition, I remember a quote from some company official (I won't tell whom it was), saying something along the lines of "we'd rather have them to use our cracked product than our competitors (legal or not) version". Of course this is wild speculation, but maybe that's why they added an electronic manual for Logic 6 and up - it's certainly not because of the waste of trees (which would be a nice reason IMO) as Logic is still coming with a printed manual as well.

Perhaps - just perhaps - he's a potential customer, or using the demo version?

Yes, I'm aWAREZ of the other possibility.
