Hi
I think I'll go for either Cubase SL or SX, as I can get an edu price for both of them. I think I'll go for Halion player too.
Do you think I'm making a wrong decision if I go for the stripped down SL version?
What do you think about the bonus SX features?
I believe MIDI editing and Audio engine are the same, right?
Thanks
k

if you got imagination you will not need sx... but sx3 is really great.... what is the price difference in your country?

I recommend sticking to SL. I have missed nothing in SX for my recording purposes. Perhaps if I was doing heavy duty surround sound programming, then I would go for SX

the other thing to keep in mind is the upgrade path...i used SL1 for a long time till i upgraded to sx3 for a really good price...so if you're just starting out go for SL and just upgrade to sx4...by then u'll prolly be looking for the extended features...bus as a beginner you won't miss them...i didn't
