ive just ordered a UAD-1 i was going to buy the studio pak when at the last minute i found a site who were selling the new ultra pak for 10% cheeper than anybodywhere else i could find so i thought what the hell and ordered it....

anyway any mouthwatering storys about the UAD-1 effects to keep me excited until mine arrives.

PS i already own a TC POCO firewire and heres the site i found the cheaper UAD-1

Brilliant choice...

Cambridge eq ;makes me want 3 more cards so i can use it on every track.Beautiful clear sound and freq seperation with no bloody audible phase displacement or loss of focus.

Fairchild;used subtly can add real warmth and a sense of "rightness" to anything you put through it

1176 and La 2a;sound just like a compressor is supposed to and respond brilliantly to creative abuse.

Plug ins that sound as good if not better than most hardware.

Lucky you! Hope you've got lots of time to play around with these. If you do, I bet you'll get an extra card in a few months (now that you've got all the plugins).

Look second-hand market guys: I've got 1 UAD project with Fairchild for 320 euros and 1 UAD studio for 350!!! One month ago...

it's getting more and more people here with an UAD-1 ! Not only the Eq and Comps are great - Precision Limiter is just the best Limiter i know and i love its level-meters.
And the plate-verb sounds always nice - best verb i know (but very DSP consuming).

I think the UAD-1 is the first product i ever heard of
with almost no unsatisfied customers - they just have a great product and very good support!

Btw the UAD-1 doesnt work with the Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9
i hope u dont have this mainboard

Hey, congrats on the new UAD-1, CANE CREEK, and you got the Ultra Pak to boot!

Shweet! I bought my first card about 2.5 years ago, my second card (Project pak)about a year ago, for the added DSP. The best and most used plugins that I own.
