Very nice indeed. As a guitarist myself, I have no need for a guitar soundfont, but I've been looking for one with a pleasant tone and prominent attack to use as a sort of electric piano, and this is just about right. Many thanks!
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

It's a good thing I play guitar. I checked my DL time out of curiosity...at least 14 hours

PM sent with the link to the six string preset version - great for this style too.
Best regards,

Cool, don't forget to try it with effects and that note durations are an important part of playing the font - also if you hit the keys real hard, then its like hitting the strings real hard, so for optimun use use upto volocity level of 99 and 100-127 for twaning effects etc.Armadillo wrote:47 MB and counting.looking forward to this.
Thank you Jafo :)Real warm font on its own, very similar to electric pianos - this was another reason for the all string fontJafo wrote:Very nice indeed. Eeeek! 56k downloders - I will have smaller fonts in the future, not this one, but othersandroidlove wrote:It's a good thing I play guitar. I checked my DL time out of curiosity...at least 14 hours

Kontakt 2 crashing when trying to import the font... uhm.
K1 loads it properly.

Its probably overlapping of layers with the all strings setting freaking out Kontakt, strange though how the first version is ok – I noticed when converting to gigafont it did not like this particular version, but the version prior (before I split the stereo waves into dual mono for the sound font) it behaved fine.
Here is String Four all on its own might be worth checking out (nice tone to string four too
)
And for those without faster connections – try this (not as mellow as the big version due to the fact I am not blending in other strings – but for a guitar font
its cool
220 regions 10 layers – a sampled electric string No4 at every note on the finger board – the font is set to play only in the sampled key region. It’s a 79 MB font in a 61 MB zip on this link
http://audioshots.com/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=75
(for those with the bigger version its worth downloading this too as it’s a clean four string sample set for plucking etc – I may post the other five strings as separate fonts in the future, possibly for different playing styles)
Best regards,
Peter

Playing the big soundbank, I get a crackled sound (I used sfz alone, in Chainer and in Minihost). I´ve had this before with big soundbanks. My pc is Intel-celeron 2000, with 512 ram and DMX6fire (soundcard). Any suggestion ?

I´m happy you didn´t suggest buying a new pc, although, my wife wants to have word with yours. She´s mumbling something about "60€,... f...ing male virtual toys, and something about cutting balls", so I took away her machete !
Tx for your advice. First I will try the mega-guitar in EXS24. By the way, I had a little talk with the neighbour of Spe3D, and I could convince the good man to sell his piano, Spe3D was planning to sample !

I got to try this out last night. Very nice! There was some other larger guitar soundfont out there (ultimate guitar or something like that) and this just completely blows it out of the water.

/me waits patiently...
ETA 1h 8min...
Spe3d, you are nuts... and my hard disk's getting full, too... And I'm going to want more RAM (yeah, yeah, it's a soundfont so sfz/sfz+ will stream it in DFD but...). And it's all your fault
