Cubase.net (the official one) now needs you to enter your dongle number to access the help on the site. This isn't the serial or anything like that just a number printed on the physical dongle
So no more crack users clogging the requests up
but just how important is my dongle ?

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

It's certainly high time that cubase did something about its forum. I'm surprised they went with 'dongle number' tho. They make you register the product with an email address and all -- isn't that enough? Make the forum post-able by registered users only? Works for samplitude, but I guess cubase is operating at a different scale.
Anyhow, yeah, kvr should consider setting up a special forum for crack cubase users . . .

Though I haven't checked out cubase.net since hearing this, I'm wondering what steinberg is going to do about potential buyers wanting to post a 'help-like' question...
I know from past experience that I much appreciate the opportunity to ask as many questions (short of becoming annoying) as possible before investing such large sums of money...
But I'm sure they thought of all that somehow...
