If you're looking for some grim dark ambient that would be perfect for such a project, I'd be happy to accomodate you, and my interest in being involved in your project would be personally vindicating.

For things like this, I'll leave my usual modesty behind & agree. I would be HONORED to participate in anything that exposes my government's corruption.CypherOne wrote:I keep saying it's ideal film material...

I have oft thought of how cool it would be to do music for something like National Geographic and things, plenty to choose from at the site, but best not ask about tempo's and things..... I don't sync my machines

EXCELLENT!!! Just a heads up, my style of storytelling is very hands-off, my inspiration kind of being DA Pennebaker (Don't Look Back, The War Room), so this won't necessarily be a hard hitting editorial commentary type piece like Michael Moore, or the "Outfoxed" series (not that I don't love those filmmakers, I just developed a different style). For example, there won't be any voiceovers whatsoever. My aim is to preserve the mostly untold histories in my doc work. That said, I do have a certain POV of course, and the inclusion/exclusion of certain elements within a story speaks volumes of what I personally think about a given issue, let alone what I choose as a topic to devote myself, my money, & my time towards. So even though there may not be a GOTCHA GEORGE moment in the film, it will have it's own momentum, and rage against the machine in it's own quiet way....SO GLAD YOU'RE INTERESTED!!!Sickle666 wrote:If you're looking for some grim dark ambient that would be perfect for such a project, I'd be happy to accomodate you, and my interest in being involved in your project would be personally vindicating.

No worries, & I'll jump at the opportunity. If you are looking to use a pre-existing track, let me know & I'll give you my recommedations in PM and get you the wav files. If you want me to do new material, I'll need the parts you wish me to track and a reasonable amount of time to create it(way less than you'd imagine).

I was just listening to your "A Moment's Pause", and it will go SOOO well with this one segment I'm going to have of these folks who dressed up as "War Dead", with their faces painted white, wearing all black, who "rode" the subway all day during the RNC on "A31", pretending to be dead. They were eventually arrested by the cops, but the charges were dropped because they had paid for their subway tickets. Gimme an "F". Gimme an "A". Gimme an "S". You know the rest. What's that spell? Fascism. Say, what's that spell? Fascism.Sickle666 wrote:For things like this, I'll leave my usual modesty behind & agree. Also check out 'A touch of Dread' and 'Ascension' as those might be diffuse enough to lay beneath spoken audio. 'A touch of Dread' was originally titled 'End Credits', and was specifically designed as such.

Seems you're sorted allready... but this is what I call a good cause and I'd be honored if you'd use any of my stuff. So if you have the time, have a listen at the link below. Most of my stuff is riff based and pretty condensed, but who knows, maybe it suits your taste?
Good luck any which way!

Like I was saying before, and I mean it seriously, ALL styles are welcome. I just checked out "Songbird". Love how it drifts in and out of being "outside" the root key. Cool. I have a good deal of footage traveling across the country by van with the protestors from Texas to the RNC, so something like "Songbird" would work perfect as a traveling sequence song.cptgone wrote:Seems you're sorted allready... but this is what I call a good cause and I'd be honored if you'd use any of my stuff. I don't have any tracks up on any easily accessible page. I'd gladly try and create something for the purpose too though. :)

No worries, we're not going anywheretkmattson wrote: I would be interested, but the way I have the schedule set up (still working at a fast clip), it wouldn't be completely done before the first of October, due to the amount of time the rotoscoping will take, even though it's going to be "autorotoscoped", using a custom made paint action sequence in Studio Artist 3. Basically I'll be using my old G3's, setting them up in the corner, and they'll be processing away for about a month & a half solid. Still amazed that I can even do it that way though, just ten years ago the same work would have taken years. Perhaps for next year? My aims are to mostly hit some of the more documentary oriented festivals, and perhaps a touring festival like ResFest. What's cool is I could also enter it into animation categories as well....
Good luck with your project, I think that you might be showing a side of the US that us anti-american euros should & would like see. (not like we don't know that it exists, but stuff like Moore was rather well received
FWIW, you can reach me by pm here or mailing pakana * gmail * com.
