Are there any vst reverbs that don't have any plugin delay requiring compensation by the host?

My favorite host doesn't have pdc (yet), so this would help me out a lot if it exists - and if it's programatically possible.

thanks.

according to SX plug-in info this great little free reverb doesn't have any delay:

thanks, I'll have to try it. :)

It's weird the demo is DX/VST but the full version appears to be DX only...

Kjaerhus' Classic reverb and the GlaceVerb spring to mind, as it were. Check in the drop down's up in the top right corner.

GlaceVerb doesn't have a delay? Cool!

What about Ambience?

Those two are the ones I use mostly.

Btw, there should be a list somewhere of exact delays of all plugins, so you could use the right amount of Voxengo's Latency/Sample delay with them. Do you want such a list?

a list of plugin delays would be usefull. My host doesn't have pdc, so using compressors and limiters require some manual adjustment.

swivel: if you want to use a convolution reverb try the pristine space light demo and see if the zero latency mode works with your host / latency. You could also try the discontinued revolVerb, but it's buggy.

AAR has no latency?

not more than your soundcard (if played life).

usually only convolution / spectral based plugins as well as compressors / limiters need to add extra latency. The rest do just fine with the soundcard latency - tha audio drivers always give us at least 64 samples to work with, and for most applications that's enough.

EasyVerb, PrincetonDigital StereoRoom to name just two

thanks for the info, I'll be checking the reverbs mentioned out.
I'm currently using the powercore classicverb, which seems to have quite a bit of latency for some reason...except in 'live' mode but then the CPU increases dramatically.

ermi - thanks, I don't need the list I've tried playing with the voxengo delay plugin to manually adjust, but it fast becomes unworkable...I like to experiment throwing plugins on tracks at a whim, and this doesn't quite work if I have to worry about delaying all the other tracks :)

ArtsAcoustic is the best sounding and most flexible.

Agreed. :)
