FWIW, FLS+ASIO4All and my laptop's internal sound card do not play nicely together, so I use an Edirol UA-20.
Using the WDM drivers, Sonar (and so I assume P5V2, I haven't gotten a chance to install it yet) plays much better on the internal sound than ASIO4All does. I haven't bothered to investigate it too thoroughly.

isnt ASIO4ALL just an ASIO wrapper for WDM drivers?

I tried using both WDM and ASIO drivers... I am able to reproduce the problem in both cases.

It may have something to do with some other thing other than the drivers. Sometimes strange things such as modem, network cards, and video cards affect the performance and make bugs happen, so unless someone has the exact same hardware as you, and I mean mobo, chipset, Video, nic, and modem, it probably unlikely one is gonna be able to duplcate your problem. Update drivers, including chipset, service pack and such and see if it goes away.

This is a long shot but I recently had a similar problem with FL Studio whenever I moved the mouse at all.
Got this strange zipper srt of effect.
It turned out to be my graphics card.
I installed PCI Latency Tool and dropped the settings for the video card down to 96 and the settings for the audio card up to 192 and it went away.
DO you have PCI Latency Tool installed?
If not ...try it out and see where your video cards latency is set.
Unfortunately most Video Card manufacturers set their
cards to grab just about all thePCI bus bandwidth!
Sometimes leaving the poor audio card out in the cold....

It's a free program
Well worth it.

I've had the same problem with FL Keys while using it on my work machine... a Dell Dimension using on-board sound. I say quit using FL Keys and all the other yellow GUI FL generators. I've seen JMC state more than once on Looptalk that if you want to have a completely stable system, don't use the generators with the yellow GUIs because they were not coded by gol.
Personally I find it unsettling that they would put their name on something that they know is problematic. At least they tell us it's problematic though! I'll give them that. I hope gol doesn't get harrassed to the point where all of FL turns yellow.

I really can't say whether you are serious or kidding. Don't use the plugs with the yellow GUIs?d2j3w7w wrote:I've had the same problem with FL Keys while using it on my work machine... a Dell Dimension using on-board sound. Completely serious. Here's one example from Looptalk thread "FL Sampler"...rbet wrote:I really can't say whether you are serious or kidding. Don't use the plugs with the yellow GUIs?
Regardless if you can fix the bug or not... if a plugin is having a problem where it emits sudden bursts of extremely loud, painful noise, it's not worth the hearing loss to try and troubleshoot IMO.Jean-Marie Cannie wrote: From now on :
1. ... everything that Gol does is Dark Gray.
2. ... the stuff we license is gold/beige
If you want a 100% stable/safe/... system : Only use the gray stuff

I can reproduce this. I'll try to find out what's wrong.rbet wrote:So I am using FL Keys with Fruity Reverb and Fruity Delay. When I rapidly manipulate any parameter in FL Keys, I hear a very harsh and *continuous* noise which gradually dies (and the sound returns to normal) after some time. That time required to return to normal varies... sometimes it happens within 10 seconds, sometimes in as much as 45-odd seconds.

OK... I don't think it is with FL Keys either... can it be with Fruity Delay or Reverb? I got the same shiat using the Toxic Demo and the two effect plugins.

I'm not sure. I got something similar with just FL Keys, although I can't seem to reproduce it anymore.rbet wrote:OK... I don't think it is with FL Keys either... can it be with Fruity Delay or Reverb? I got the same shiat using the Toxic Demo and the two effect plugins.
