Yeah, living without wine is it's own punishment. Jesus turned water into wine for his first miracle for a good reason! lol

And then he made hell. Having to watch while others enjoy it is pure hell. At least the Japanese found an acid-free sollution by using rice with saki and the scotish alternative aint too bad either.

Could you tell us more about this "reno symptom"? I think I may have it. Does it also involve cold feet and toes?

I had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in both of my wrists and I still have a good deal of stiffness from it. I also had torn rotator cuffs in both of my shoulders and my arms are still weak from not using them. I also had DeQuevain's Syndrome, which is related to CTS and caused pain in the ball of my right thumb. And finally, I have neck, shoulder, and back pain from un-ergonomic seating arrangements combined with my terrible posture.
'reno' is when your hands are sweating one moment and then you notice that they're extremely cold for the season and you can't do nothing about it 'couse there is no drugs or drops for it. Isn't it great? :( I think cold feet might be involved.

:D Thanks, Sepheritoh, for the link to Inflammatory Arthritis Center. I was reminded that diet can play a crucial role in some arthritis cases. A few months ago my knees began to swell horribly and I could barely last a shift at work. The pain was terribly unnerving. Then I noticed that my symptoms waned on the days that I drank soymilk (in cereal.) So I quit using soy products and voila. A few months later I'm vastly improved and back at work. I had been ignoring my food allergies: milk, soy products, etc., for which I was tested years ago.

It's a pleasure. Sadly that sounds much like my story as well. I was also too stupid at first to think about my diet. I have been on pain pills (voltarins) plus anti-acids daily for many years until I changed my diet. I have touched another voltarin one occationally for the last 3 years now.

Not a guitarist, but I am a trumpet player with arthritic hands... it's hard to get the fingers moving quickly sometimes.

I take Celebrex when I need it which helps enormously.

I try not to take it too often though.

Don't you mean Raynaud's Disease?

A lot of what passes for arthritis is actually food allergies. Grain products are a main offender for many people. Cut out or reduce cereals, breads, pasta, etc for a few days or a week and see what happens. You "arthritis" may go away, gastric problems may go away, and skin problems may clear up.

Eat fruit and sweet vegetables such as carrots for carbohydrate.

'reno' = Raynaud syndrome.

Cold+painful hands that become pale and then cyanotic [don't know if that's the correct translation of the greek term kyanotika, but it looks like it] if I remember correctly from trird-year internal medicine. Put them in warm water, that'll help. But go see a physician too, there's only so much that a dentist can tell you. :hihi:
