I must have the intruments in the wrong directory. Everytime I load ss2free it hangs when I load a patch, until I clean out the intruments folder. What gives.

Instruments consist of at least three files - ending in .sti, .sth, and .stw - you have to make sure they're all together in the same folder. Otherwise they won't load properly.
