Since the cross-grade/special price for ST2XL users applies for only a limited time after the release of Philharmonik - will the price go down to that price in a year?

You see, I'm not allowed to buy any software for a year... soooooo... I'm kind of hoping that the price will be lower a year from now :D. Any chance that there will be a group buy or a price drop around that time?

For those, who haven't decided to get it within a year, the price will go up to $599. :D

Not allowed to? Try to give her some flowers and take her out to a nice restaurant (not Mc. Donald's)
If that works, please refer to user telebunke, when ordering from www.esoundz.com , then we'll both get $5 worth of epointz. If it doesn't work, come back for some more tips. :D

:?: :!: It's more my dad who's saying that I can't get any software for a year, not my mom, so I don't see why that would help.

We gotta make sure Rellik gets some epointz!! That might soften Dad up a bit.

Well, in this case I was way off with my guess. Sorry can't help you with that. I can just give you tips how to nicely get a wife to say OK.

Bummer. Might be time to get a job and start saving up... :) That's what I did...

Right now "somebody" is having a sale and I'm able to upgrade my QLSO Gold to QLSO Platium for a very good price (I hope I did my calculation right). But I can only afford to save up for "one" symphonic library...should I go Philharmonik (for a different sound) or Platium (a bigger sample library...68GB of it!)

Advice needed...currently leaning toward Philharmonik...simply because IK looks like it's going to be a power player in the sampling world! :)

Well for my two cents, I'd take the suggestion to go with the Miroslav. I have Gold and would like to upgrade to Gold Pro but it's still way overpriced. I'll have to wait for another group buy as I'm sure many people who bought Gold will wait for as well.

And it has my beloved Wagner Tuben for a big filmscore sound.

Platinum has those 24 bit samples and you don't have to load all three mic positions but still it takes a bite. I have a friend who uses it and says it's not that much better than Gold at the end of the day for 90% of scoring needs. It's only when you want dry samples from it that Platinum shows it's true worth. I just don't feel that 'true worth' is worth the extra expense.

For much less money the Miroslav can give alternate samples that will still match with EWQSLO, timbre-wise.

That is what interests me in the Philharmonik. The samples do sound much better than my old set and they will sound good with my main orchestra of Gold.

The Miroslav does have a less aggressive sound which suits different styles. If I were going after a LOTR type score I'd want to use the Miroslav first. :)

If I wanted Elfman, then I'd choose EWQLSO.

Again, having both gives you choices...

As far as getting a job and saving up goes, check that off the list ;) it wouldn't be my parent's money that I would be spending if I bought software. Technically I can do what I want with the money I've earned - but I'm not going to just go behind my parents' backs. I'll come up with something :P
