Try going to options, devices, then unchecking "apply volcume leveling" under the Quality tab. That could help.

Another thing, in WMP click on View, enhancements, then toggle on Show Enhancements. Here's where you can turn off the built in EQ which defaults to ON, and you can turn off the SRS WOW effects that default to ON.

why not just go to shareaza, kazaa, or limewire or even download.com and get nero its the best and fastest.
