Hi,

I have to admit, I'd be kind of surprised if anyone else is using it , but I've updated by open source ASIO VST host to v1.22.

New features include the ability to map joystick events to MIDI messages (so you can now play synths with your joystick/homemade pedal board), and support for skins. Here's some examples:

Get it here, if you're interested.

Niall, I love your pedalboard project. A while ago I looked at the early version. This new one is downloaded and appreciated. I ran Frettedsynth's new Free Amp SE and Pedalboard locked up on me after I turned the audio on. I'll keep working with it though. I run a old HP Win ME machine. I'll try to drop you another line after more time working with it.

Niall - thanks for this and all your plugs.
the Modulator is a particular favourite. :-)

Hmm... I just did a quick test and it's not doing this for me :?:. I'm running XP (SP1?) myself, so I suppose it might be a Windows version problem, but it's hard to say without being able to replicate it myself.

Cheers :) - actually, it was your scuzzphut2 delay project that really got me started making VST plugins (w/RMD), so thank you :D.

Okay, I've just updated it again.

New features:
  • Added support for MIDI input devices (keyboards etc.). Now you can use it as a normal (live) VSTi host.
Added the ability to map messages from MIDI input devices to plugin parameters (like you do with joystick events).
Added in a tutorial/online help system for the Help menu (this is very flexible - you can add your own entries, leave notes for yourself, etc.).
Added the option of altering the position of the window's title text in the xml skin file.
And I included a new skin showing the last one off (though I think I got the colours for the minimise and maximise buttons the wrong way around):

What other free (and open-source) VST host offers you this amount of customisability? I'm starting to get quite proud of this little program...
