HI

I have been trying to get to know this little fellow in Project5 V2 - alas I have run into an issue that is laughable!

Basically I can't get the bleeder to lay slice markers out, I import a wav file loop and load it up but nothing happens, I can't see amnything that indicates how to map out or apply markers - I have fiddled like mad and looked at the scant documentation but still can't work it out .... HELP!

One thing I do know is that you must use Acidized loops.

Yes, that is most likely the problem ;-)

HI

Apparently not ... old boy.

Waves are OK, according to the shpeel.

Another thing that might be the problem - I've found that Cyclone doesn't appear to work well with 24-bit wave files (although I haven't played with it much in Project5 V2.0)

It can 'play back' waves, IIRC, but it won't slice them

Because Cyclone was tied to Sonar (and later P5) only, I gave up on it since I use FLS as well. I ended up getting Dicer... not really the same thing, but it worked for my needs.

HI

Yea ... I think it will only play a wave file but not slice it ... wondering how P5 can deal with non acidized loops?

I could use another program but it would be nice to use only P5 for everything.

Torhan is correct. Cyclone doesn't slice waves, they need to have ACID slice marker data already in place. I've used both BeatCreator and Sonar's Loop Construction editor to add these to my own loops.

Note that not all ACIDized loops contain slice marker data, some just have loop points, tempo and length in beats.

Just had a quick look at Project 5's Loop Editor View - this should do the trick. It seems very much like Sonar's Loop Construction View.

HI

I will have a look at it - I am still very new to P5, what came accross with importing a wave was that you can slice it to stretch it but I could not see how you get to 'play around' with the slices - they look more like markers for stretching.

You have to import the wave file into the Loop Editor view, acidise it (you can also move the markers here too), save it as an acidised wave, then import it into Cyclone...
