Wouldnt it be cool tomake a delay that has a built-in degradation?
For instance, it would be like a regular delay except that with every echo, the signal gets a bit less bit-depth and sample-rate.
Does anyone else think this would be cool?

not exactly.. i don't know about the psp-fx but retrodelay can "only" filter the feedback but not degrade the bitdepth or rate.TotcProductions wrote:you can sort of do that with retro delay or the psp 42/84 no?
i think what is meant here is a bit-/samplerate-reduction in the feedback.

Try the excellent free Classic Delay at www.kjaerhus.com This has three modes, and the digital mode can do anything from perfect clean digital delay, through to grungy digital distortion which must be some bit/sample reduction to sound so bad ... if that's what you want.

you could achieve this by step-automating settings on an effect in-series after the delay, but yeah, that'd be great.. blaat.. bla!t.. b#a!t.. $#^!t.. bit depth, distortions, buffer muddling...
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.
