I just tried filtering the noteoffs to a different channel with munger, send to jthalmus, rechannel back into the vst, but didn't work.
I'm using xoxos midi note spewers, so the notes aren't always as long as i'd like.

Thanks again for all your great plugs, maybe I can get that jthalmus to work for me.
did you figure this out? ....if not I'll be glad to give you an example file to show how it can be done.

I'll keep your idea in mind(just got a very full plate at the moment)...I just don't consider it a priority since it can already be done with a couple plugins that are already available ;)

I use to build specific MIDI plugins for every situation....and before I knew it I had over 300 custom SE plugins, which really slows the system down since I couldn't remove them even though many of them were only use in one track. That's why I did the Munger series(which are able to replace about 200 of those old plugin I have) ;)

Hi,

is there a way to react to midi system messages like start and stop? Afaik, MidiMunger is not capable to handle system messages. Maybe another plugin? I would like to convert a start message to a specific note for triggering the sequencer.

Jaltohs Thalamus(isn't it handy)
also you could do it with Bome's MIDI Translator or MIDI OX

Yes... but, what kind of troubles are you having?...I figured it was simple enough, although it needs to be connected properly to work...and there is a few other things you should know to keep from losing you txt files.
HERE YOU GO

Let me know if that helps, or if there is another problem I should know about.

Many thanks, I will try the internal solution with Thalamus first. Hopefully ext-sa will feature external sync and sync start someday ...

new version...of MungRack(different internal ID and dll name)

only a couple small features added...instead of using copy/paste to put the rules into the rack...you can now just click the ">" button to the left of the slot to insert the current rule from the "RuleBuilder". The button on the right clears the slot.

hopefully I'll get some other updates to the web page soon, since DH released a bunch of updates to his modules.

Just a silly idea but..

It would be great if we could make a package of free midi plug-ins tested in XT (NF and others) that can be distributed freely and add a link to it from the XT page and possibly the auto-updater.
I'd nominate NF to collect the pack and make sure that there is just the right selection (with as little duplication as wanted). :)

I'm just thinking that there are so many questions here that are solved w/ these tools that it would be helpful if most users had a core selection already installed.
