They 're playing in Athens tomorrow and I was thinking to check them out. In fact I like their latest "cosmic game" and like some earlier dub like tunes of them.
Experiences?

I missed them live in Chicago a couple of weeks ago, but my friend went. Said it was great, live drummers, singers, etc. And a nice mix of down-tempo and some 4ttf.

no drummers, just 2 percussionists...no snare to slap me in the chest and no kick to tumble my organs...

Thanx guys. The show that Sleepgolfer refers to and the other one that jackson's friend went must be totally different.

I´ve seen them about 1 1/2 year ago.
and they had no drummer yes. Maybe you shouldn´t forget that Thievery Corporation is more like a studio project of the two masterminds.
but they had the two brothers from jamica singing the dub and some reagge stuff. and a great female vocalist.
yes you can say the show was a bit polished, but none the less it was a great show I´d say,
I liked the life dub versions of their songs most.
Really the singers made the show.
So I dont know their line-up now.
But if the singers are there it can be fun.

The promo here says something about four singers and a multi electro-acoustic band. But that's a promo ...

Bump
I am 50-50 now. There are great gigs (Kraftwerk, Marilyn Manson, Queens of the stone age ...) coming and not enough money for all of them

I was thinking about going too zeoy. But then I noticed that we get Merzbow, Aphex Twin and lots of other artists at the upcoming G-Festival [whatever that is, I just noticed the poster at the Clip Art shop near Stournari yesterday] and I thought 'Hm, I'd better save my money for that'.
So, I guess you're going to Rockwave then??

Marily Manson is a must see IMO. ... and Queens of the stone age ... and Kraftwerk ... and Aphex Twin ... and .... F**k. I remember when we're complaining because there were not enough good gigs round here. Now we don't have enough money to go see all of them
BTW do you have any link for the G-fest Tris?

Nope. No link here BUT I'll google a little bit and see if I come up with something. It has not been advertised enough yet, though. It's the kind of festival that attracts the BIOS crowd [love them or hate them
] so it'll probably not get much exposure. Maybe a couple of posters at the Vinyl Record shop.

Hmm, I didn't realise that Kraftwerk were coming as part of that festival. Another artist I remember from the poster is KID606 BTW.
