Can anyone tell me where I can get them cheap in the UK? It's 700 pounds in turnkey (studio pak).

They do. As a rough estimate, I saved about £100 on an Evolver buying it via JRR Shop.

im from the UK and i own 1 UAD-1 (ultra-pak) and ive just ordered a second one (project-pak) from http://www.jrrshop.com
counting post and packing its cost me £264.18
ive worked out you'll get the project-pak for roughly £540 off JJR counting post and packing , if you do get stung for import tax that will be an extra 15 quid.

You pay VAT @ 17.5%, import tax (varies, usually 0-3%) and a processing fee (£8-£15) on anything coming into the EU
These are worked out on the declared value plus postage.
Still works out cheaper getting a lot of things from the US on account of exchange rates and greedy distributors.

One other tip. Join the UAD forum at http://www.chrismilne.com/uadforums/ (http://www.chrismilne.com/uadforums/) and you'll get a discount from JRRshop. I've got two UAD's and they are absolutely superb for compression, reverb and EQ (Cambridge is extra but very good)M
