What is the difference between something like the
TC Electronic M•One XL Effects Processor and something like the POD XT Live.
If you're going to have some devices to go with your axe and your amp, what would you choose?
I'm also looking for something good to add just for getting some overdrive and compression. Any recommendations that would add to what I have?
I have a Presonus Blue Tube DP, a clean amp (Fender Super Reverb), POD XT Live (a lot of fun to play around with, I know the criticisms).

The POD emulates amps, cabinets and mics; The M1 does not. The M1 is more focused on reverb and fx, and I suspect TC's reverb and fx are far superior and tweakable than what the POD offers.
As far as overdrive goes, you can't do better than turning that amp up, IMO.
